BGM - A Beautiful Green Mind
The course stems from the Erasmus+ project BGM – A Beautiful GreenMind and is specifically designed for students and teachers in vocational education and training. It responds to the growing need to promote greater environmental awareness and support the adoption of corporate social responsibility (CSR) practices by SMEs and vocational education and training institutions. This training initiative is part of a broader European effort in which sustainability, digital transformation and social responsibility are considered fundamental pillars for innovation and competitiveness in the local and international economy.
Through an open, accessible and interactive approach, the course aims to guide participants in understanding the dynamics of environmental CSR, providing practical tools, communication methodologies and operational strategies that support real and lasting change within organisations. At the heart of the project is the development of an online platform, the “Green Social Network”, which connects vocational education and training institutions and SMEs, enabling the exchange of good practices, fostering transnational collaboration and encouraging the emergence of new opportunities in the green economy.
During the course, participants will analyse the current needs and challenges of SMEs in terms of sustainability, with a particular focus on environmental CSR. They will have access to a “Green CSR Bible”, a step-by-step guide offering actionable strategies and sustainable practices tailored to the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises. The course also introduces a methodological framework to facilitate internal and external communication of CSR practices, encouraging an organisational culture rooted in environmental responsibility and social innovation.
The project involves 20 economically disadvantaged vocational education and training students, who are involved from the outset to ensure inclusiveness and active participation. In parallel, each project partner is responsible for involving at least three vocational education and training institutions in their country, thus expanding the educational network and strengthening the project's reach through the digital platform.
This course aims to make a tangible contribution to building a European network focused on environmental sustainability, improving the professional and personal growth of its participants and strengthening the sense of community through continuous dialogue and experience sharing. In this dynamic and cooperative educational framework, VET teachers and students will be empowered to take an active role in a sustainable, responsible and forward-looking transition.
