THE BIGGER PICTURE TOOLS project is being developed against a backdrop of continuing global challenges in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals.
These include increasing globalisation, an increasingly digitally interconnected and interdependent world, ethnic and religious conflicts, mass movements of people from conflict zones and poor areas to more prosperous parts of the world, the refugee crisis, climate change, persistent poverty in some parts of the world, and environmental disasters.
Education has a central role to play in ensuring that citizens develop the necessary skills to overcome these challenges and take advantage of the opportunities that arise.
In this context, this course aims to increase the knowledge and pedagogical skills of educators to provide global education and improve the global competence of adults, thus enriching the training of adult educators in Global Learning and Citizenship through the Sustainable Development Goals.
